First, we condemn
all lies;
and then we condemn
all truth,
given the lies
we are asked to live.

Ask no questions
and you will
get not much
of anything
you can rely-on.

Ask all questions
and you will
get more
of the same.

Thank goodness
for writing,
where you can play
by your own rules.

Just don’t make
it public
or they will cry:
“How dare you think
differently!
Shame on you!”

Some say: “Don’t have
an opinion unless
it’s the same
as that which is held
by everyone else”.

Some might think
It’s best to keep quiet,
and play along
with the conspiracy
of the mob.

It really isn’t.
Own your own truth,
regardless of the hate
that will inevitably
come your way.

There might be
the odd bit of love, too,
and eventually,
it will grow on you.
